The Del Mar area of Corpus Christi is one of the city's oldest and most prominent neighborhoods, with many rich homes dating from the 1920s, and a prestigious college. Del Mar lies between Louisiana Avenue and Palmero Street and is ideal for strolling any time of the day.

The downtown district of Corpus Christi contains many of the city's attractions, as well as the best shopping and dining options, with most of the main points of interest within reach of one another.
